1st Birthday!

Josette is 1-year-old!  Oh my, did that first year fly, or what?  Sweet Josette is most certainly walking, running, and climbing into toddlerhood.  She is so very busy and on the move.  She loves books right now and will often grab them off the shelf and bring them to you.  She will then demand that you read it to her by shoving it at you and grunting expectantly.  Her favorite book is Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar and inspired by some ideas on (you guessed it) Pinterest, we went with a theme party for her 1st birthday.

At one year, Josette is doing so much:

• Her favorite activity is reading books.
• She and Finn love to play chase around the house
• We think she has three words: Hat, Cup, and UHOH
• She loves anything to do with water
• She is testing out all babyproofing and letting us know exactly where more is needed (cupboards, toilet, etc.)
• She loves to take hats out and put them on people
• She is learning to zoom cars around the house with her brother
• She likes to swing
• She is learning to dance and gets excited whenever we play "Pumped Up Kicks"
• She is learning to bounce on the mini trampoline outside
• She likes to go down slides
• She is attempting to climb up on everything
• She has two bottom teeth and one top tooth with the second ready to come any day now
• She loves Lily and likes to pet her and pat her with enthusiasm

We had Josette's one year well check and she is once again deemed perfect.  She is 30.5 inches tall (90%) and 21.9 lbs (66%).
