We have had a wonderfully eventful week. We were very excited to receive a visit from Finn's Aunt Kate and cousin Annalise. Annalise is 8 months old and was happy to show Finn that tummy time is no biggie.
He was enthralled with her:
I am afraid to report that we are still exhausted:
So, we must be a bit insane, but this weekend we are going to Philly. One of Sean's groomsmen is getting married so we are packing up and driving down to celebrate. This means we have a 6 hour drive with Finn. We are going to leave early tomorrow and leave lots of time for plenty of stops. I hope Finn will sleep a good deal of the way and I can always sit in the back with toys and books to help entertain him. I am also going to bring along our sleep books so Sean and I can seriously come up with a plan (no more procrastination)! I suspect we will have quite the story upon our return.

Did the ped/sleep training talk not go well or are you looking for a different ped first? Mandy is lending me her No Cry Sleep Solutions when we meet up with her next weekend. Though by sheer luck he went to bed drowsy but awake at 11 and 4 last night. We are going to Binghamton for my G'pa's 95th birthday. It'll be a short trip, leave Friday back on Sunday but David is coming too and the Hanfords are driving as well. And yeah, I'm savng that quilting website for later, much, much later in my life.
We have had some luck with some of suggestions in the No-cry sleep Solution. It was hard at first but once we got into a rhythm it seemed to click for him and us.
Good luck!
We made an appointment with a new pedi in the same practice, but it is not until his 6 month appointment so we have to figure things out on our own. I started to talk about some of our sleep issues with the pedi at the last visit, but she moved onto another topic and had cut the appointment off before we could get back to my sleep questions. It is for the best anyway, I doubt whe would have taken the time to talk to me about it. Sounds like Miles is doing great, Becky. And Soren too, Megan. Awesome. Now we just have to get Finn on board. Surely, we will figure it out. Have a great time in Binghamton and give my love to everyone!
I love that our pedi has a space on the form you fill out at each appointment where you list your questions and concerns. I always fill that part up and he never rushes me through. He's a dad so I think that helps, and Em thinks he's cute so she loves it when we go. :) We really loved No Cry, and I swear by it thanks to Rachel. Let me know if I can help. The pics of the two of them are way cute!! Love you!!
I promise you and Megan will sleep again! And when you do you will lie awake anyway because you will think something is wrong with the baby! :-)I love the pics of Finn finding his toes! That was so fun with both of mine they were like hey there is something down here!

Rachel asked to see Finnbar, so I pulled up the blog. She loved the pic with "Finn and the other baby, you know, his girlfriend" and asked "Why is Auntie Sadie sleeping? Mommy's don't sleep!" Isn't that the truth?! Love you all!!
