It is challenging to come up with projects for a toddler and a preschooler to do together. Finn was requesting a project yesterday and I couldn't think of anything that we could mix up that Josette could do given her propensity for eating anything and everything. Then, I remembered this project. I may have posted about it before. You take construction paper and draw on it with q-tips dipped in oil (olive in this case). Then, you hang it in the window and the oil "glows" with the sun shining through it. Of course, in my head, I saw both kids sitting and happily drawing on the paper. In reality, it was a big mess of oil, but they had a lot of fun together. To make it Independence day related, we used red, white, and blue paper.
