Finn started T-ball this week. Our town does a fun program called 3&3 for 3&4, which means 3 weeks of T-ball and 3 weeks of soccer for 3 and 4-year-olds. Finn has been excited for it to start, although once we were actually there he was quite tentative in the group setting. He had a hard time understanding who to listen to and what to do. As he told me in the car on the way home, "I didn't know what they were saying." This is actually his first experience in a setting with lots of kids and other adults running the show. He wanted me out there on the field with him a lot. I hope he doesn't get discouraged and that this will be good practice for him in learning how to listen and follow instructions. He also got distracted a lot when he was expected to wait his turn, but he is just 3 :) Once he figured out what the activity was, he gave it his all. In all the pictures you can tell who Finn is because he didn't want to put on the park & rec shirt - he wanted to keep his Boston Red Sox shirt on!
First they practiced throwing fly balls and ground balls.
Batting practice - they started with the big balls and then at the end got to try wiffle balls:

Josette was happy to hang on the sidelines and play with trucks:
