Let's go fly a kite

We went to Easter dinner at Nana and Papa's and enjoyed the amazing weather by flying a kite in the field. Finn loved running around in the field and watching the kite fly. It was the most relaxing and beautiful of afternoons.

Happy Easter

We started off Easter with a joyful church service and then they held an Easter egg hunt across the street on the state house lawn. Finn had a grand time. We ended up with 3 eggs, a couple rocks and a few handfuls of dirt in his basket, so he really scored :)

First Haircut

Finn got his first haircut today. He did really well. He was a little nervous and kind of clung to me the whole time, but he didn't cry. We went to a local salon where they do a lot of little kids and they were great. Plus they only charge $1 per year of age! I had a really hard time cutting those cute little curls, but his hair was once again getting in his eyes and becoming really unruly. So, with the hot weather and the Easter holiday, we decided to go for it. He looks very handsome and so grown up and the curls will always grow back.

Mud Fun

Where there is water, there is also mud!

Water Fun

With the recent rains and the thawing of the ground, we have had some flooding of our crawl space. Sean has been pumping it out and luckily we are expecting some warm dry weather to dry everything out. Finn, of course, has been helping with these chores by directing the water as it comes out of the hose. He got completely soaked, but had a blast as usual!

Baby Goats

Ah, the fun of living in the country...a neighbor up the street is housing 4 baby goats (8 weeks old) in her garage until they can transport them to her mom's farm. She invited Finn and me to play with them. They were adorable and Finn loved it. I think we are going back tomorrow.

Easter Egg Hunt

On Monday, Finn and I went to an Easter Party through the Mom's group we joined. The kids had a fun time hunting for Easter Eggs. Unfortunately, it was raining and had to be indoors. Luckily, the rain has finally cleared and we are looking forward to a beautiful Easter weekend.
