The Big Reveal

After much blood, sweat, and tears, we are finally ready to reveal our home! Below are "before" and "after" pictures to show what we have done thus far. We are so thrilled with our home. We had a beautiful housewarming party this past weekend. We were so surprised when my parents showed up last week to help us get ready and celebrate with us. We have a ton of photos and I will have more posts coming soon.

AFTER: Living room - We put in a wood stove. We couldn't get our old couch in the small doorways, so we ordered furniture that could be assembled in the room.

11 Months

Finnbar entered the last month of his first year this weekend. It truly astonishes me how quickly this first year is coming to a close. I have been reminiscing a lot over the past few weeks as we have entered fall. I remember being so hugely pregnant at this point and anticipating Finn's arrival. And now, Finn is a toddler. He is walking all over the place now. That is his preferred mode of transport and although he falls quite often, he just gets back up and takes off again. Finn is enjoying the autumn season. He gets a kick out of the fallen leaves. He likes it when I kick them around and he likes to crunch them in his hands. I can't wait to get a big pile raked up. Here are a few photos from this morning:

The Deerfield Fair

Our lovely town boasts the longest running fair in New England. We went to the 133rd annual Deerfield Fair today. We we supposed to go tomorrow, but the forecast is for 100% chance of rain so we decided to get our fair fix today.

A view of the fair grounds as we drove in:

Finn loved all of the animal barns. He particularly liked the horses, sheep and chickens. He was very tickled by a display of chicks:

And it wouldn't be a fair without a giant pumpkin contest:

Boy, the fair is tiring. He was going strong through the horse pull, but fell asleep before the antique tractor pull.
