Finn has been wiggly and fussy every time I tried to put him in the moby facing me lately. I think he just felt too confined. I had been holding off facing him forward because they recommend doing so at 4 months. Well, he is so big and has gotten such good head control, I decided to try it out. I have been carrying him facing forward because he wants to check everything out now anyway. It was a big hit. We were over at his cousins' house yesterday and he got to get bundled up and watch them sled. He was fascinated. Then today, I took him to the grocery store and he was so happy to watch me pick out items and cross them off my list. Facing the world it fantastic!

Yeah, what a big boy. And you are totally right, at some point they just want to watch everything.
I love that picture!!Sissy
hi sadie!! you're right about being a big boy. what a cute little face. Hope the outward facing works for you guys. make sure you either tuck his legs up and inside the cross or spread out the fabric enough so that he has enough hip support.
btw, been meaning to ask you...if you were to have 1 carrier for a newborn would you like a moby or a ringsling? (are you using the rs these days?)
Love this pic!!!
Hi Mandy - Your question is tough. I think the Moby would be my top choice for a newborn. I was too nervous to put Finn in the ring sling when he was really little. But then it was a wonderful thing when we were traveling because it was quick and easy to put on and Finn liked the chest to chest hold. I never figured out how to cradle him in the ring sli ng. We did learn how to nurse in the rs while traveling and that was nice. Never did nurse in the Moby. For awhile I didn't like the Moby because it took me so long to wrap it, but I think that was just learning curve. I am digging it again now that we can face forward. I think ultimately I want an Ergo, but I also think that we will be back to using the ring sling when he is a little older and we can do the hip hold. I love the variety of baby wearing. Okay-this was more than you asked for :)
