Bubbles and Babou

On Tuesday Oct 6th, I was running around like crazy. The day before, Sean had put the final coat of sealant on the bathroom floor. It had to dry for 24 hours, which meant there was no toilet access. The next day, I took Sean to work and took the car so that Finn and I could go grocery shopping in preparation for the housewarming party and so that I could go somewhere with a bathroom! It was a busy day and we got a lot done, but I was running late to pick Sean up from work. As I was driving, my mom called me. I answered and chatted for a minute, but there was traffic and it really wasn't a good time to be on the phone. I told her I am sorry, but I have to go. She started pressing me about when I might be home and she could call me. I was a bit perturbed, I told her a half hour or an hour, but really, I will just call her back when I can.

So, I pick up Sean and we run one more errand. By this time Finn is getting fussy and we are a little frazzled. We get home and we are rushing around trying to get dinner in the works so we can get Finn back on routine and ready for bed. Then there is a knock on the door. This is most unusual. Sean opens it and doesn't say anything for a minute, then turns to me and says, "Your parents are here." I walk toward the door and in they came. I just stood staring for a moment, truly not believing my eyes! They said, "Surprise, Happy Housewarming" They really shocked us, but it was such a great surprise. We had a fantastic week with them here. They got to spend some wonderful time with Finn. They also worked their butts off helping us finish our final house projects before our party.

I have the most amazing parents and I can't thank you enough for such a beautiful visit! Finn loved having his Babou and Bubbles around!
